Support the fast-paced legislative, media and community outreach work of the Public Affairs Department! Help us enable our health centers to provide services to clients and our education departments to continue teaching the facts by keeping our practices SAFE, LEGAL, and FUNDED.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Recruit activists, lobbying legislators, and table at community events
· Assist with upcoming election work including voter registration, phone banking, and canvassing.
· Provide general administrative support such as data entry, clipping newspaper articles, filing, and faxing

Description
Planned Parenthood Mar Monte improves and transforms the lives of over 250,000 women, men and children every year in 29 counties throughout mid-California and 13 counties in Northern Nevada. We reach people through our medical services, education programs and advocacy initiatives.
With 33 health center locations and 8 satellite sites, we provide a range of reproductive and general health services including birth control, pregnancy testing and options counseling, STD testing and treatment, HIV testing, breast and cervical cancer screening, abortion, sterilization, pre-natal care, pediatrics and adult primary health care.
Our engaging education programs feature classroom presentations, radio shows, peer education, family communication classes, an information hotline and support groups to help parenting or high-risk teen girls plan successful futures.
We proudly advocate for reproductive freedom to ensure that the voices of the pro-choice majority are heard at every level, from city halls to the halls of Congress.
