About

As a Girl Scout volunteer, you’ll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they’re capable of more than they ever imagined. You’ll be their cheerleader, their guide, and the mentor that shows them that anything is possible. The memories you’ll share will last long after the meeting is over. Start today!

Who can lead a troop? Just about anyone! Parents, teachers, professionals, college students, military personnel, women, or men...any adult who feels connected with Girl Scouting.

What is the leader's role? With the help of a strong adult support team and helpful materials, a leader runs a troop by delivering program, partnering directly with the girls. A leader works directly with girls, and communicates with parents, as well as, the community support team.

How much time will this take? It's up to you! You decide how many times your troop meets. The time you give as a troop leader is valuable; we'll give you the tools and support to make the most of it. Average time is 5-10 hours a month.
