We have volunteer opportunities for virtual work (e.g., writing, advocacy, marketing and communications, etc.) to reach out to the community and build partnerships in order to help more people live independently.
The Public Authority in Alameda County supports persons with disabilities by providing access to pre-screened homecare workers. We also train people to become effective homecare workers and help them support themselves while careing for others.
As a volunteer, you will help us inform more poeple of our FREE resources and training on how to navigate social service systems and/or be an effective homecare worker.
We will appreciate your creative ideas to reach out to more community leaders, members, and oragnizations and let more people utilize our FREE services to enhance the In-Home Supportive Serivces.
