The American Cancer Society Reach To Recovery(r) program matches trained volunteer
breast cancer survivors to people facing or living with breast cancer. Volunteers give
cancer patients and their families the opportunity to ask questions, talk about their fears
and concerns, and express their feelings.
Reach To Recovery volunteers are carefully screened and trained, and are fully adjusted
to life after cancer. They talk with patients in person, over the phone, or via email, using
their firsthand experience of what it’s like to have breast cancer to relate to emotional and practical issues.
If you’re a breast cancer survivor at least one year out of treatment and are
interested in helping others through their breast cancer experience, visit
cancer.org/volunteer or call 1-800-227-2345.
Thank you for your interest!
