ORGANIZATION: National Center for Creative Aging

Beautiful Minds

The National Center for Creative Aging (NCCA) seeks a volunteer(s) to help the advancement of NCCA's mission & vision. The volunteer should be willing to work up to a minimum four hours each week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the implementation of the annual national conference
  • Research and follow up with sponsors
  • Work with vendors and conference attendees to answer any questions they may have
  • Write and edit applications, mid and final year reports
  • Manage grant process by tracking requirements, due dates and responses
Qualified candidates will meet the minimum requirements:
  • An understanding of NCCA's mission and vision
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Must also be reliable and punctual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proofreading experience
  • Proactive ability to juggle multiple tasks, manage priorities and time well, and collaborate with others
  • Positive and professional demeanor and a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Curiosity and a sense of humor and fun
Additional preferred, but not required skills and qualities:
  • Interest in learning more about fundraising and event planning and execution
  • Enjoys creating and improving procedures and systems
  • Has a background in the arts and/or social services
