The Geek Group is looking to expand its web development team! We have three major projects going on, and are looking for people to participate in one or more team.
We are looking for individuals who are willing to work in a team environment and contribute to both new projects as well as troubleshooting/bug-fixing existing items. We commuicate primarily in an IRC environment, as well as via Facebook for Work (we will get you set up).
We are looking for people with any of the following skills:
- PHP
- Linux command line
- Wordpress plugins
- HTML/CSS/Javascript
- nginx
- Python 2
- MySQL
- HTML5
- Git
- SCP/SFTP
- Salesforce
After we get your accounts set up, you can explore what projects and tasks are outstanding and find something that matches your skils and interest. This is an on-going project for a National Science Institute, and we always have things going on. We love being a volunteer reference and have written many letters of reccomendations.
If you could outline a good set of times and days you would be available for a first introduction, we will set up a invite to properly introduce you. After the initial meeting, things are fairly informal and can be done at any time. Our team has members in 9 different timezones.
