The Sol Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides recovery resources to individuals with substance use disorders, their families and friends, and communities throughout Utah. We are seeking successful professionals who want to use their passion, talents, and expertise to serve on the SOL Scholarship Foundation board.

Lack of a stable, alcohol and drug free living environment can be a serious obstacle to abstinence. Destructive living environments can derail recovery for even highly motivated individuals. Working in tandem with substance use professionals and other specialists, the Sol Scholarship Foundation works to enhance Utah’s system of treatment and care. We collaborate with more than 20 drug treatment and sober living facilities by providing scholarships to those in need of drug treatment, sober housing and advocacy.

We are seeking those with experience in business, finance, health, academia, philanthropy, accounting, fundraising, the arts, and human services. Members of the Board of Directors supervise the Executive Director and provide essential governance of the organization to ensure that the SOL Scholarship Foundation fulfills its mission and vision, and is sustainable. Board members work with the SOL Scholarship Foundation to advance and administer standards of Board governance, strategic planning, organizational development, special initiatives and fiscal budgets. Meetings are held ten times each per year in Salt Lake City.
