Help! We're looking for a Marketing Intern
We Get Around! is part of the nonprofit Advocates for Aging Cares. Since 2012 we have been working to educate older adults on their transportation options. While we have won awards and accolades funding has been a tough one. However, our work impacts individuals and communities. Now our goal is to become better storytellers. By doing so we can continue our mission to keep older adults connected to their communities.
We want your help to boost our online and community presence. Training and mentoring are provided during this internship. Our office is at Hera Hub co-working space with three locations Carlsbad, Mission Valley, and Sorrento Valley.

Description
We're social entrepreneurs and working to change the face of aging by taking action to innovate, improve, and invent solutions to fill the gaps in services for our aging community.
Founded in 2012, as a volunteer effort the first service we provided was We Get Around! The City of San Diego's first public travel training program. Thanks to the founder Judi Bonilla, her friends, and family we were able to offer training classes at no charge. The goal was to bootstrap the program until a transportation grant could be earned.
During the past three years, Judi volunteered her gerontology and travel training expertise to the program. Volunteers helped with errands and moral support. In that time both We Get Around! and Judi earned local and national awards. At the end of 2014 as momentum for the program peaked We Get Around! went from a volunteer effort to an IRS approved 501c3 non profit organization as Advocates For Aging Cares.
