Volunteer as a corporate mentor for the Walnut Hills High School Environmental Mentorship Program in Partnership with Keep Cincinnati Beautiful. This is a great way for a corporate group to make a difference with this unique volunteer opportunity. Teens are fun to work with and truly appreciate your support and expertise!
Mentors will help with a science project designed to expose students to environmental issues while encouraging environmental stewardship. Students are divided into groups to explore an environmental topic that includes: energy, water, land and food. Mentors are NOT environmental experts; but resources to share their expertise and guidance on group dynamics, research gathering and presentation skills.
Mentors meet with students group during a class for 6 weeks with a final presentation to follow which is judged by a collection of corporate, environmental and school officials. Mentors are needed for 1:40-2:30 PM (7th Bell) for each of the following days:
- Project Overview: Thursday, January 5 (Optional)
- Group Work: Friday, January 6
- Group Work: Friday, January 20
- Group Work: Friday, January 27
