Join us in getting down and dirty and helping out local farms! The Hays County Food Bank partners with local farms in Kyle and Buda to assist them with daily tasks, and in return the farmers donate fresh produce back to the food bank for our clients. Whether you are completely new to gardening or are a seasoned pro, anyone with an interest is invited to join!
Typical duties include planting, weeding, sorting and harvest. Typical days for volunteering are Wednesdays from 8 am-11 am and Fridays from 8:30 am-1pm. However, there is some flexibility with times and dates provided the farmers are given enough advance notice.
For questions regarding this activity please contact Jessica Cruz, Volunteer Services Coordinator at email@example.com or by phone at 512-392-8300 ext 222.
