Love n Me is a nonprofit organization providing services to girls and women in Domestic Violence, Raped, Sexual Abused, Human Trafficking, Substance Abuse, Homeless Youth and More

The Grant Writer Consultant is responsible for grant development, grant writing, grant reports, and RFP submissions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Write grant proposals/letters of intent for grant proposals from private foundations and government funding sources.
Submit progress reports to foundation funding sources.
Maintain on-going communication and relationships with foundation funding sources, including written (Thank You letters, agency updates) and phone communications, as well as participation in periodic site visits in coordination with the Executive Director.
Create a system for tracking submission due dates, renewal due dates and progress report due dates for all current funding sources, including government grants, foundation grants, individual donors, and corporate support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a strong grant writing background (at least 3 years) in Non-Profit Development Office
Masters degree preferred in relevant field; BA degree acceptable with extensive experience in development/ fundraising
Excellent verbal and written skills, particularly grant writing
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Donor Software
Experience with budgeting and fiscal processes
Highly organized with excellent project and time management skills
Able to take work independently, delegate, take initiative and be resourceful
