Purpose

To understand our current layout and work with staff and interns to improve the effectiveness of Salesforce.


Description

The current volunteer Salesforce Developers live in California and would love to train an intern to continue to build on the foundation they have created. After learning what other volunteers have built, your position will be tasked with understanding how it will be used in the rest of the organization and building out the remaining database. You will design a training that will help all staff and interns understand the best way to use everything. It is important that this volunteer not only believe in our Golden Circle, but also apply our Core Values to their experience with us.


Required Education

  • Recent graduate (within 1 year) or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, computer information systems, operations, social work, nonprofit management or related field of study preferred.

  • Consulting experience

  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

  • Enthusiastic about Passion Impact’s mission and team focused

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in Google Drive (Particularly Google Forms and Google Sheets or MS Excel) Google Calendar, MeisterTask, MindMeister, Mailchimp, Salesforce, and/or ability to learn technology at a fast pace

  • Research and presentation skills


Duties

  • Understand what has been created thus far

  • Read and understand our needs for each position

  • Meet with each intern and staff member to understand their positions

  • Work with staff and volunteers to construct a working database that provides relevant reports for PI growth

  • Train each intern and staff member on how to use the database

  • Serve on our Portland Advisory Board Community & Partnerships Committee

  • Complete an Internship Portfolio that includes a personal reflection and a presentation


Commitment

  • February 4, 2017 - June 11, 2017 (possibility to extend based on performance and project availability)

  • Must Attend February 4, 2017 Training

  • Must attend weekly office meetings Monday 9-10 AM and Friday 12:30-1:30 PM


Compensation

As a small grassroots organization we do not currently have funding to compensate interns. If you are a student and qualify for workstudy at PCC or PSU, we will gladly work with your college or university to make sure that you receive compensation for your time devoted to Passion Impact. We are also happy to help you receive course credit.
