Southlake will be holding a fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society is the largest non-governmental cancer-funding organization in the United States. But this cannot be done without fund-raising opportunities such as our local, community, cancer-fighting events! All funds raised by the American Cancer Society go back to four specific areas: Research (in Texas alone right now, ACS is funding 53 Grants with over $30 Million in research for early detection, best and brightest ideas, and cures for cancer), Education (24/7 1800# support, Cancer.org, and printed education al pieces) , Advocacy, and Patient Services (tangible items like no-cost wigs, volunteer driven programs like Look Good, Feel Better and Patient Navigators).

The event it self will be held in May 2017 as an evening event on Town Square. It will be a c community, Family-Friendly event with activities and entertainment. Additionally, the event would like to bring in Food Trucks, local vendors, bands, ect.

Prior to the event, Teams could pre- signup and do personal or individual fund-raising- Plus the night of they would be doing additional fund-raising activities.

BUT- passionate and wonderful people are needed to plan this life-saving cancer event! It is an opportunity to celebrate cancer survivors and remember those who have passed to cancer. All the while celebrating how far cancer research has come because of community events like this one. Whatever your passion, we can find a place to use it!
