Troy Brookdale Hospice is in need of kind, compassionate and caring individuals to spend one hour a week with a resident who is facing end of life. The community (building) is located in Troy on Stanfield Street.
Our residents are looking for someone to spend an hour a week with them so they can share their stories, have someone to talk to. Some of them like to go to the acitivities within the community but like someone to go with them (such as ice cream social, bingo). Some of them just like company while they eat their meal. Others like to look through magazines, be pushed around the community in their wheelchairs or simply paint their nails (the ladies, of course).
Do you have an hour a week to provide someone who is facing end of life with some company, some companionship, some kindness? If so, we want you.
We do require background check and fingerprinting but I will make it as easy as possible for you!
Please consider bringing some joy to someone's life.
