Would you like to help make our neighborhood walkways safe for all pedestrians, clear of snow and ice during the winter season? Lend a hand to your elderly and disabled neighbors in Jersey City who are unable to shovel snow through the JC Shovels program. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Description
The City of Jersey City’s Office of Community Engagement and Volunteerism is a member of Cities of Service, a supportive coalition of cities that commit to addressing local issues through impact volunteerism. We are also a proud grantee of AmeriCorps! The City receives funding from them to operate our VISTA program and lead anti-poverty initiatives in various City departments and agencies.
