BOTS Logo

Beat of the Street (BOTS) is Connecticut’s first "street paper." It is written by members of the homeless community and their allies. It is published monthly. The coordinator would be the point of contact for people writing articles, would attend weekly meetings with members of our BOTs community, host monthly BOTS Editorial Review Board meetings and work with the graphic designer to put together each month’s issue.

The ideal coordinator would have good written and oral communication.

All of these elements of our BOTS programming include a great deal of interaction with the homeless community. The volunteer should be a good listener and be willing to help problem-solve with BOTS members.

While hours are flexible, it is very important to us and the writers that our volunteers be reliable and consistent.
