We are looking for volunteers to come out on trainings with our project or to connect us with organizations in the greater Philadelphia community that reach underserved populations. We also need assistance with canvassing the Philadelphia area to let organizations know about out program. Whether you have previous CPR knowledge or not, please volunteer!
Our trainings are all scheduled at places out in the community. Each training is only 30 minutes, but with set up/ tear down, the time commitment is about 1.5 hrs not including travel time. Set up includes AV equipment and our training manikins. The video shown during our training is 20-25 minutes long and explains/ demonstrates how to do CPR along with how to use an AED. There is time for questions after.

About The Mobile CPR Project
Location:
423 Guardian Drive, Room 433, Blockley Hall, Philadelphia, PA 19104, US
Mission Statement
Our number one goal is to train Philadelphians how to recognize a cardiac arrest and to learn CPR. Learning CPR can keep community members and their families safe. Most of the time when someone experiences a cardiac arrest, it is in their home. If a family member experiences a cardiac arrest the best thing anyone can do is perform CPR, it can save their life!
Description
The Mobile CPR Project was created to increase survival from sudden cardiac arrest. To do this we travel to community organizations, churches, and community centers to teach CPR. This program is an initiative supported by the City of Philadelphia and other partners such as the three local hospitals, the fire department, and the police department.
CPR training usually costs money and can take up a lot of time. It can also be difficult to find someone that teaches CPR. Our mission is to bring CPR to the community at no cost. So how do people learn CPR? They contact us! We schedule a training at their facility. We only ask that they have more than 10 people per training. This way, we train as many people as we can at once.
