Paradise Ranch provides horse assisted therapy to over 450 families every month. Most of our animal family (8 horses, mini pig, 2 goats, bunnies, and chickens) are rescues. We need DEPENDABLE volunteers to train and who can continue coming for several months. YOU decide the times you would like to volunteer, as little as 2 hours a month up to 5 hours a week.
We are looking for the perfect volunteers who can do one or more of the following positions:
Volunteers who can sidewalk or lead a horse during our sessions.
Volunteers who can do general cleaning around the ranch.
Volunteers who are handy and are capable (or can be taught) to do small repairs.
And of course, we always need volunteers who are willing to muck stalls and dust.
Paradise Ranch is 100% indoors. Volunteers have the opportunity to learn from amazing animal trainers. All of the staff at Paradise Ranch are mental health providers, Mr. Paul has a masters in Psychology and created the HAT program. This is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals interested in proper animal care, animal training, mental health or behavioral health to learn from best in the field. Individuals with professional education backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
