Alzheimer's Association Western Carolina
Care & Support Volunteers provide direct, hands-on assistance with those living with Alzheimer's and related dementia, caregivers, and the general public.
Are you a natural born leader? Do you love to teach? Do you have that knack for organizing programs? Are you fueled by the desire to raise awareness and understanding of Alzheimer's and related dementia diseases to make a difference in our communities? Then you are an Alzheimer's Association Community Educator!
Alzheimer's Association Community Educators are representatives of the Alzheimer's Association who cultivate opportunities and then deliver Association educational programs. Educators work in their professional, civic, and personal spaces to raise awareness of Alzheimer's and provide education and information to constituents. Educators are empowered to identify gaps, areas of need, and areas of interest and fill those through education.
