Our Organization is providing an evidence-based falls prevention program called Stepping On throughout the Twin Cities. Stepping On is a 7-week program for a group of 12-14 community dwelling older adults who have had a fall or have a fear of falling. In order to run the program we need a physical therapist to facilitate sections of weeks 1, 2 and 6 of the program.

We are looking for Physical Therapist professionals who would be willing to be contacted with upcoming volunteer opportunities.

-preparation time to familiarize self with the materials, 1-2 hours

-Session 1 (start date TBD), 2.5 hours

-Session 2 (one week after start date), 1 - 1.5 hours

-Session 6 (five weeks after start date), 1.5 hours

Applicants should feel comfortable leading a small group of older adults through balance and strength exercises and suggesting modifications of exercises for individuals of varying physical abilities.
