Resident

As a volunteer with HOPE you will help create stable, affordable homes for people with developmental disabilities. Los Angeles County is short nearly 500,000 affordable, safe homes for low income and extremely low income people. This translates to 91% of low-income households in the County do not have access to an affordable home. This reality is particularly challenging for the populations with special needs that include cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, epilepsy and other similar conditions. By joining our team, and providing clerical support to our organization, you help create homes, dignity, and independence for those most vulnerable in our communities.

Volunteers perform general services such as:

  • Filing, organizing and storage duties

  • Data collection and data entry

  • Research and reporting

  • Correspondence and answering phones

  • Copying and scanning

  • Writing and editing

  • Shipping

  • Other administrative tasks
