An Odyssey Hospice Volunteer visits directly with patients for companionship, support, to brighten their day, to write letters, to read, to go on walks, to sing, and to help the patient at meal time. Volunteers can also visit with a certified animal assisted therapy dog. Training is free and offered in Salem. Once a volunteer completes the Hospice training they make their own schedule!

Our care teams specialize in pain and symptom management, as well as emotional and spiritual support for the patient and family.
