Sankanac CSA, a 300 member CSA (community supported agriculture), is seeking two full-time volunteer interns for 3-6 months, May-October. The Sankanac CSA is a part of Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, an intentional lifesharing community which includes adults with special needs.
Interns help in the garden full-time with planting, harvesting and maintenance throughout the summer alongside apprentices, coworkers and villagers (people with special needs). Depending on the length of stay, interns may have hands-on experience with draft horses and learn about horse-powered farming. Interns live in a village house and share life with people of varying abilities. Interns receive room and board and one full day off per week. They may be asked to help in the house they live in.
