Volunteers are need to assist staff with giving kayak tours down the beautiful Caloosahatchee River. Volunteers will need to be able to assist with setting up equipment and enjoying kayaking for up to four hours. Interested volunteers should contact Sandra Bates at 239-204-1105 or email sbates@leegov.com.

Upcoming Tours - Please arrive 1 hour before tour and plan to stay up to 1 hours after tour assisting with equipment.

November 8 th. 9 am to 11 am (tour time frame) Oxbow

December 6 th. 9 am to 11 am (tour time frame) Cypress Creek

January 17 th. 9 am to 3 pm (tour time frame) - Hickey Creek -everyone needs to bring their lunch.

February 21 st. 9 am to 11 am (tour time frame) - Oxbow

March 21 st. 9 am to 11 am (tour time frame) - Cypress Creek

April 19 th. 6 pm to 8 pm (tour time frame) - Moon Light - everyone needs to bring their own head/flashlights.

Lee County Parks & Recreation goals is to maximize our combined resources to provide the citizens of Lee County with the best possible facilities and programs with the least possible expenditure of public funds. In other words, get more "Bang For The Buck". For almost 30 years it has been a very rewarding relationship for all parties, especially for the citizens of Lee County. From our meager beginnings over a quarter of a century ago we have grown dramatically. We now manage over 3,500 acres of developed parkland and provide for hundreds of programs throughout the County.
