We have a morning interention class that addresses the specific needs of 40 students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. You would work 1 on 1 helping a student raise his or her low skill in reading or math.
For example you could work with a 1st grader teaching them sight words, phonic letter sounds, and read with them. Or work with a 4th grader on comprehension, explaining words they don't know and supporting their understanding of what they are reading.
There will be training for any unfamiliar tasks.
We also need volunteers from 1:30 to 3:00 in the afternoon, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

We are a public school serving many low-income families (60% Poverty). There are intervention programs for students with low skills in reading in the morning from 7:30 to 8:30 and afternoon from 1:30 to 3.
