Early Learning Center Winter Wonderland 2016!
Event Description:
Focus: HOPE's Early Learning Center host the families of the children that are in the center. This year there will be, toy giveaways, snowman bingo, make & take activities, and more...
Lunch will be provided
What we need are dedicated volunteers to assist with:
- Greeting
- Passing out gifts/games
- Help with serving lunch
- Managing the game and craft stations
If you are someone who enjoys working with children (ages vary) and bringing a little holiday cheer, join us!
The event is from 10:00am-2:00pm, so please arrival at least 30 minutes early to get your assignment.

***COURT ORDERED COMMUNITY SERVICE/DRIVER'S RESPONSIBILITY WAIVER participants must complete orientation and be approved for this assignment*** Orientation is held only on Friday's at 12:30p Westside Food Center 1300 Oakman Blvd. Detroit, MI 48238 (No appointment required)

Parking is available in the gated parking lot located at 1550 Oakman Blvd. Detroit, MI 48238.
Once you come into the facility, ask for Juan Ruiz, he will be able to direct you to your assignment and station.
Please dress comfortably, you will be walking, standing, and at times bending (after all, you will be working with 3 year olds).

Please report to the front desk of the Center for Children to check in. There are no locker or storage areas, so please keep your belongings in a safe secure place prior to arrival.

For the safety and health of our children, if you are sick (even with a mild cold, sore throat, sniffles etc.) or have any of the following illnesses you will not be allowed to volunteer; Hepatitis A; Shiga toxin-producing E.coli, Shigella; Salmonella Typhi; Norovirus.

Description
Focus: HOPE is a human service organization. Founded in 1968 in the wake of the 1967 Detroit riots by Father Willam T. Cunningham (1930-1997) and co-founder Eleanor M. Josaitis (1931-2011), Focus: HOPE unites a multicultural community in common efforts to overcome injustice and build racial harmony. Over the years, Focus: HOPE has initiated practical solutions to the problems of hunger, economic disparity, inadequate education, and racial divisiveness. Answers can be found in Focus: HOPE's technology training programs, educational and corporate partnerships, and food programs.
