Non-profit startup dedicated to maximizing the potential of autistic individuals and fostering adult independence and competitive sustained employment seeks individuals to help develop and cultivate Sponsorships for its Innovation Maker Workshops for Autism.
Our Workshops provide an opportunity for young adults on spectrum to show their creative side! Develop an idea in a real maker lab and see it come to life; make new friends & have fun; work with microcontrollers, sensor boards & programming; and take your project home!
SPED teachers, tech educators, mentors and Mr. Patrick (A.K.A. the Woodshop Cowboy) offer participants the opportunity to invent, design, build and program a game controller, instrument, electronic device- let your imagination run free!
Participants walk away from the event with:
- experience developing Maker projects from start to finish
- exposure to new ideas and Maker resources
- new social connections
No prior Maker experience required!
