Do you love working with kids? Our Take Root Garden Club is an after-school program focused on nutrition, gardening, and physical fitness education for children ages 5-10. Education is disguised as fun in this fast-paced, high-energy learning environment! Join our kids as they learn about plants and gardening at Foster Community Center. On-site, there are garden boxes, and fruit trees, all of which our children use to explore the world of gardening and community sustainability.
As a mentor for the children, volunteers are expected to promote good behavior and create a conducive learning environment.
Take Root meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Foster Community Center, 200 N. Foster Ave. Lansing MI, 48912.
