Not-for-profit agency is seeking highly skilled fast paced, energetic volunteers that are pleasant, caring, and courteous to work in Long Island's largest Soup Kitchen, as a Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteer Coordinator will assist staff in ensuring that all volunteers are assigned to specific tasks and that each area of the soup kitchen is sufficiently covered. Volunteer Coordinators must be flexible in assisting wherever they are needed and must work with the Managers to maintain safe mealtime standards in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures.

Volunteer Coordinators must follow directions and work well on a team, be punctual, dependable, friendly, respectful and a good communicator. They must also have the ability to respond to emergency situations while maintaining composure and demonstrating appropriate professionalism and restraint at all times. Volunteer Coordinators must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods of time.

Volunteer Coordinators are needed for each day of the week, Mon-Fri, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
