Life Skill Coach volunteer will help assist one-on-one with educating students each Tuesday from 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm about life skills that a person should carry with them after high school to navigate relationships and careers and be a well-rounded, successful person. This opportunity is designed to encourage personal development in young people while providing an outlet for their stresses and anxieties.
This opportunity allows a person to:
* help troubled teenagers get back on track
* encourage a better work ethic
* help young people deal with difficult or embarrassing issues
* discover potential and set goals to reach it
* help improve family dynamic
When going through these changes, it is important to let your child know you are there for support. However, they may not feel confident enough to discuss their issues with you. Each relationship will not be the same. This opportunity will require someone who is dedicated, good with communication, and has a fresh perspective.

Description
Project LIFT, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is a performance based mentoring program that provides participants with a personal mentor (Coach) to help them improve their academic performance and enhance their abilities to withstand daily challenges as a teen. During the school year, students attend academic and personal development sessions. During these sessions students focus on their goals and how to achieve them. These sessions provide academic support, mentor and peer accountability, and life skills development.
