We are looking for new volunteer advocates who would like to be part of our organization. The training is a 40 hour state mandated training for all advocates who will take shifts on our 24/7 hotline, and go on accompaniments to hospitals and police stations to advocate for survivors of sexual violence.

Description
SAVE of Essex County operates a 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline, dispatch mobile volunteer Rape Care Advocates around the clock to support and accompany victims through medical and legal procedures on site in hospitals, police stations, and courts and provide professional crisis counseling as well as longer-term post-trauma counseling.
