This is one of our most needed positions for volunteers to fiil at Fred Moore. We try to bring new faces to the classrooms so that the children can have new positive role models in their lives. We are looking for volunteers who are proactive, flexible, organized, and who would like to work with children. Our volunteers will have several responsibilities that include:
- Helping with classroom setup and clean up (Sanitize Mats/Clean Carpets)
- Helping with Transitions to and from the classroom
- Help with naptime, breakfast, lunch, and snack.
- Assiting teachers whereever help is needed.
- Positively engage with the children in their activities.
We do require to go fill out an application (which can be found on our website under "Employment and Volunteering"), and $2 because we are required to run a background check by law. We do have a no cell phone policy when working in the classrooms, and require that all volunteers dress appropriatly to work with kids (no tang-tops, flip-flops, holes in any piece of clothing, and no inapproprate designs). Also a breif orientation is required upon your first visit.

Our programs are designed to fit the specific needs of infants, toddlers, and Pre-K children. Our school offers continuous training to ensure that our staff receives the most recent information available in early childhood education.
In addition, each staff member is trained and certified in CPR and first aid.
