ORGANIZATION: Project for Pride in Living (PPL)

Are you passionate about closing the achievement gap and helping children succeed in school? Would you love to tutor or mentor a child but just don't have time?

Energize your networks to get connected to volunteer opportunities with youth! Join us to brainstorm as a group who we know and how to best reach adults and teens who would make awesome Tutor Mentors with children in PPL's housing-based afterschool programs!

Volunteers will learn about our PPL Scholars program from Youth Development staff anduse social media, video and prepared materials to reach out to friends, colleagues, classmates, congregations, alumni and professional networks and post content on websites, community newspapers, and so on.

We want to go beyond "Like us on Facebook" to engage 50 new Tutor Mentors for school-aged children on our waiting list!

If this time doesn't work for you but you're willing to help, contact me for materials and instructions and you can "freelance" from home! Julie Huck, Volunteer Program Manager, 612-455-5111 or julie.huck@ppl-inc.org.
