About

Alliance for Girls is seeking an Administrative Intern for Winter 2016 / Spring 2017.

Alliance for Girls

Alliance for Girls (AFG) champions the leaders and voices that support girls and young women. Our mission is to ensure girl-serving organizations are more connected, more effective, and better able to prepare girls to become leaders and thriving women. We do this by training girl-serving agencies, fostering collaboration, producing original research and using a collective voice to advocate on behalf of girls. Currently, AFG has more than 130 members including Planned Parenthood and Girls Incorporated.

Working closely with the Membership and Marketing Manager, the Administrative Intern will perform professional administrative work, including maintaining AFG’s databases and the Girls’ Service Directory, website development, and other administrative tasks as needed.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of skills required to manage the day-to-day operations of a rapidly growing non-profit. In addition, the internship provides an inside look at the girls’ service sector and innovative initiatives happening on the ground. The Administrative Intern reports to the Membership and Marketing Manager.
