San Antonio based youth organization needs weekend volunteers

The Crossmen Drum Corps is holding it's December Call Back Camp in San Antonio. We depend on volunteer support to provide the best experience for our campers

We need volunteer help for the following areas:

Check in Friday night of Camp: Each camp we need approximately 8 volunteers to help check-in everyone who arrives to audition. This position runs from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm Friday nights.

Shuttle runs: Many of the students who audition for Crossmen come from out of state and need to fly to our camps. Even some of our Texas residents will fly to camp, or catch a bus. We offer shuttles to and from airports and bus stations in the cities of our auditions, and need volunteer drivers to help. This position requ ires your personal vehicle and runs from around 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm Friday night, and 11:00 am till 1:30 pm Sunday afternoon.

Food Truck: At each camp we serve six meals to all those auditioning, staff, and volunteers. While we have a food manager to coordinate the meals, we need the volunteer man power to help prepare, serve, and clean up for each meal. This position will run throughout the whole camp weekend, Friday night until Sunday afternoon when we break. If you are not able to stay for the whole weekend, you are more than welcome to join us for any amount of time you can!

Any volunteers who offer their assistance over the weekend are welcome to stay with the corps at their housing site. We will have classrooms reserved specifically for volunteer sleeping, and we all use the locker room accommodations for showering.

We ask that all volunteers are 18+ or have a parent/guardian volunteer alongside for the weekend.
