Hello, I am looking for a partner who would be willing to teach early and elementary math differently. No, it's not what you think, it's very different.

We will start as volunteers. I expect you to become self-employed very quickly, and I hope we will develop a viable business together.

I am a computer guy born in USSR, and I am raising 3 made-in-USA kids. Two of them went to schools and leaned to hate math. I saved the second one before it was too late. Trying to spare the third, I ended up investing everything I had in solving the problem of math teaching and math hating. Some of my solutions are ready for commercial deployment.

Let me remind you that the government's researchers find 60% of 4th graders knowing only the "basic" math. By the researcher's own definition, this knowledge is good for nothing. And nothing, including parent's education, income, race prevents schools from intellectually disabling kids.

In the past, the numbers looked worse. Watering down curricula and dumbing down teaching methods improved the statistics but alienated smart students.

Computers and consumer-level computing skills are essential for participating. I promise to help, but only if you are not helpless.

If you have children and/or grandchildren 3-9 year old, you can make them school proof.
