Storytime is a great part of the work the library does to help young children develop a foundation for reading. The songs, rhymes, and stories help children to enjoy books and develop skills so that they are prepared when they enter school.

The Livermore Public Library needs a Volunteer Storytime Assistant to help with our fun, active storytimes on Monday and Wednesday mornings. We would ask that you commit to coming in once a week from 10am-12pm.

You would welcome families, mostly with children under age 5, and encourage little ones and adults to participate in songs, fingerplays, and stories. You would also help the storyteller to distribute musical instruments like bells and shakers.

VOLUNTEERS MUST PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.
