Human Rights Connected (HRC) is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team of passionate young professionals! We work to increase access to the understanding of human rights and its legal framework to strengthen civil society in promoting and protecting human rights. As Community Engagement Coordinator, you will help us build a dynamic, interactive community where human rights defenders can connect to share practical resources!


  • Develop and implement a social media strategy connecting with human rights defenders and organizations
  • Monitor and evaluate HRC’s social media outreach and web traffic
  • Curate social media content offering practical support to human rights defenders
  • Build user engagement with our library of human rights resources
  • Correspond for HRC from relevant events
  • Expand our network of volunteers and collaborators
  • Strong academic or professional interest in human rights and/or strategic nonviolent action
  • Excellent written communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Some experience in community engagement preferred
  • Additional language ability preferred
