Hospice Volunteers needed in: administrative and friendly visiting the office location that covers all of Miami -Dade. Volunteers are welcomed from our local area.
- Friendly patient visitors to share a compassionate, friendly presence with pateitn and their families
- Musicians with portable instruments, such as violin, harp, flute to play music for patients
- Adminstrative volunteers who can do filing, answer phones, accomplish genral office tasks and those with good person to person skills
- Bi-lingual volunteers: Spanish speaking in particular
Volunteers are considered to be part of the interdisciplinary team process
- Perfect for colloge students looking for community service hours, retired persons and those wishing to give of themselves for a greater good.
- Ideal for retired or semi-retired persons looking to give back something to their community

Compassionate Care Hospice has defined as its mission to affirm life during its final stages by providing holistic compassionate care to patients and their families; by providing access to hospice care for underserved or difficult to serve populations; by wise and efficient use of available resources, and by educating the community in order to provide them with knowledge regarding end-of-life and hospice care around quality of life.
Description
Hospice provides pallative support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so thaty they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. Hospice affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones death. Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care, and the promotion of a caring community sensitve to their needs, patients and their families may be free to attain a degree of mental, social physical and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.
