WhoWhatWhy, an up-and-coming non-profit investigative and analytical news site that specializes in responsibly tackling the many subjects and stories the mainstream media shies away from, is looking for a Associate Image Editor.
Responsibilities include:
Curate photos & other images for our articles. We are looking for someone to volunteer to source and edit images. Right now we need help with images in front page stories, blogs and an area we call Picks. Subscriptions to stock image services are not in our budget. We source images from Creative Commons and the public domain and also adapt and create our own images. Volunteering for this position would requiresourcing, processing, writing captions, and posting images for a story. The length of the story and availability of material determine the time involved.
