As a volunteer coordinator, you will be doing exactly what I'm doing right now - spreading the word of our great cause and finding AWESOME people to help carry out our mission! You will be responsible for recruiting and training volunteers to work at the office, program sites, and special events!
As the first point of contact for volunteers, it's important that you are able to determine (with the help of our director) the most appropriate candidates for the positions being filled! If you are great with written communication, have a heart for helping, and can easily navigate websites like this one, you should be on our team!
***Must be available week days, as we are open 9a-5p, M-F***
Please don't hesitate to apply! Training will be provided, and you will be supported by an incredible staff grateful for your help!

Description
You can contact us at info@flon.org!
FLON was established in Kansas City, MO in 1996 and incorporated in 1999 by Diana Clemons as a nonprofit corporation. Ms. Clemons met with local leaders, elected and appointed, parents, school officals, community and business leaders. She went to these meetings asking what the youth in the community needed most and how she could serve them. The most critical unmet needs from meetings and focus groups were how to prepare youth for the leadership that the community would need in the future. Also programs that would tech teens to set boundaries from risky behaviours prevention. FLON implements evidence- based primary prevention curriculum education that incluedes alcohol, tobacco, drug, and violence and sexual activity and abstinence education.
