*This is a GREAT opportunity for those looking to gain experience facilitating! (Read: this is not a certificate or credit earning opportunity.)*
There are opportunities at FLON to be a facilitator teaching curricula!
We need people with experience teaching evidence-based positive youth development curricula for middle and high school students.
Be a light in our teens' lives! We need people that are encouraging, care about youth, and have a desire to help them become self-sufficient leaders with long-term education/career goals!
As a volunteer facilitator, you will be responsible for teaching curricula to students aged 10-19 (and sometimes parents) with our team.
The curricula include but are not limited to: abstinence education (evidence-based & medically accurate), career planning, entrepreneurship development, leadership development, financial literacy, positive youth development, college prep, and other post-secondary preparation curricula.
You will also be responsible for data collection! Data collection includes pre and post survey administration, data input, and subsequent reporting.
***Must be available week days, as we are open 9a-5p, M-F***
Please don't hesitate to apply! Training will be provided, and you will be supported by an incredible staff grateful for your help!

Description
You can contact us at info@flon.org!
FLON was established in Kansas City, MO in 1996 and incorporated in 1999 by Diana Clemons as a nonprofit corporation. Ms. Clemons met with local leaders, elected and appointed, parents, school officals, community and business leaders. She went to these meetings asking what the youth in the community needed most and how she could serve them. The most critical unmet needs from meetings and focus groups were how to prepare youth for the leadership that the community would need in the future. Also programs that would tech teens to set boundaries from risky behaviours prevention. FLON implements evidence- based primary prevention curriculum education that incluedes alcohol, tobacco, drug, and violence and sexual activity and abstinence education.
