10 people are interested
We’re looking to add 2-3 people to our Board in 2017 who are interested in using their time, talent, and energy to support the vision of a healthy and happy home for every cat and dog in Washington. We are a hands-on group of committed individuals and are looking to add individuals from diverse backgrounds to join the Board and help the organization’s continued success and growth.
Our mission, since we founded in 2005, is to end the homelessness of cats and dogs across Washington by increasing shelter adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and providing education and resources to improve pet retention. We work with 50+ shelter partners each year in addition to many other partners. In the past eleven years we have helped over 6,100 animals find homes and facilitated thousands of spay and neuter surgeries.
Our major campaigns include large adoption events with 100-200 adoptable animals present; the "Why Not Me?" pets campaign which helps long term homeless animals find their forever homes; Project Mission Pawsible which is working to reduce the large number of stray animals in Yakima County; and, expanding access to low cost spay/neuter surgeries around and the state.
Email Board President, Yolanda at yolanda@pawsitivealliance.org for an application and more information or if you have any questions.
