Winter Blanket Gift Drive!

Do you sew, crochet, knit, quilt or make fleece blankets? If so, consider putting your talents to good use by making a lap blanket for our residents this holiday season! Many residents in nursing homes do not have any family or friends to brighten up the holidays with gifts, so we are trying to make sure everyone has a happy holiday season by soliciting donations of lap blankets from the community. The blankets should be approximately three feet by four feet, and can be any style you prefer! We will collect blanket donations until the week of Christmas, and then our staff will put residents' names on them so they have something under the tree to open. Though its not required, pre-wrapping individually would be a HUGE help with a label added for male/female/either. You can drop the blankets off as you complete them, or deliver them later in December. Please contact me with any questions, or if you'd like to be part of this program! Thanks!
