ORGANIZATION: THE EMERALD COAST SCIENCE CENTER

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 29 people are interested

The Emerald Coast Science Center is in need of enthusiastic individuals who love science and education to join our team as volunteers.

We would like to have museum docents and special event volunteers. Museum docents would be interacting with visitors at the center either by showing them how to use our exhibits or by running pop-up stations with them. Special event volunteers could also run pop-up stations or help with the main activity for our event--such as our Story Time event where a volunteer will read a story and do a small activity with the kids.

We are always ready to train and talk with our volunteers about the different activities that they can do!

About THE EMERALD COAST SCIENCE CENTER

31 MEMORIAL PARKWAY SW, FORT WALTON BEACH, FL 32548, US

Mission Statement

The Emerald Coast Science Center strives to inspire and grow a scientifically engaged community.

Description

Our new facility includes over 5,000 additional square feet of space with two classroom spaces and 4 exhibit rooms along with 2 acres of property.

In 2018, we are proud to debut a fascinating, groundbreaking new exhibit: SMALLab, courtesy of IMPACT100 of Northwest Florida. SMALLab is an embodied learning platform that will have every learner up, moving, and collaborating in an interactive environment. We are proud to be only the third museum in the country with SMALLab.
