WeThrive is seeking a volunteer to work alongside our Program Management team. The individual will work with the Program team to recruit Undergraduate University Mentors for our entrepreneurship program and establish relationships with university contacts and student organizations.
WeThrive programming is administered by undergraduate univeristy students who act as mentors in local middle schools. You will play an integral role in recruiting college students hungry for social change in the local community.
Responsibilities include:
- Research into student groups and organizations at targeted colleges and universiites
- Outreach via email and phone calls
- Scheduling of student interviews and training
WeThrive runs active programming within New York City, Boston, Los Angeles and Oakland. This is an ideal role for individuals looking to explore an innovative non-profit and/or a startup while making meaningful impact for under-resourced youth.

Description
WeThrive is a program in which undergraduate university students lead youth from under- resourced communities in the creation of a business venture, mentoring them and teaching them critical life skills along the way. In this year-long program, youth participants create their own ventures from start to finish, earning revenues, and donating all profits to charity. Most importantly, they learn essential life skills and adopt habits that will allow them to achieve their personal goals and definitions of success.
