We're looking for volunteers to help us facility team workstations with 9th and 12th grade students as we help them develop the basic professional skills that students should have after completing High School to help them make the most of every opportunity, to find successful jobs while in college, to maximize their networking opportunities, to learn about life long financial literacy, and most importantly to have successful careers going in to college and after completing college.

We host monthly programs for each group through the Student Success Academy at Southwest schools where there will be a member of the board facilitating each session. We need volunteers to sit with each of the student groups (groups of 5) to help facilitate the break-out sessions. Sessions run each month starting in February.

Description

Student Guidance Group "SGG" is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 2015 and incorporated in February of 2016. We are a group of young professionals passionate about helping our youth and the future of our country. We want to pay it forward by giving High School students the knowledge and experience that we've learned through our many years of work experience. Together, we have come together to create the Student Success Academy which focuses on developing the core professional skills that students will need to remain focused through college, to gain valuable work experience, to identify and maximize their opportunities to succeed, and to make educated decisions about their career after High School and through college.
