The purpose of the Community Garden program is not only provide food for those in need, but offer education and experience for residents to grow their own nutritious food supply, thereby fortifying community food security.
All Learning Garden volunteers have the power to educate, increase self-esteem and strengthen social networks. Our overall goal is to create a long-term solution to hunger by giving people the confidence and ability to be more self-sufficient and improve their eating habits and gardening skills.
