Position Summary:
Responsible for helping HSAMF to achieve financial goals, objectives and increase operating performance. Prepares budgets, creates businesses plans, and solves internal issues as they arise.
Essential Functions:
- · Attend all board meetings
- · Ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the board on a timely basis
- · Identify and oversee ways to maximize revenue
- · Work with committee to prepare budgets
- · Present the annual budget to the board for approval
- · Analyze financial reports
- · Identify and lead new business opportunities
- · Ensure highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the
organization
- · Work with all board members to secure funding grants for the organization
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal skills a must. Passion for mission of HSAMF and willingness to lead a nationwide nonprofit organization. Strong organization and time management skills. Flexibility. Proficiency at Microsoft Office Word, and Excel. Willingness to learn and engage with others. Must commit to lead for 1 Year, with re-election option available. Must complete a background and credit check. Must sign HSAMF’s Statement of Faith.
Qualifications:
Ability to engage others with enthusiasm and passion for the mission of HSAMF
Willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions and direction in a positive manner
Ability to organize and prioritize work on multiple projects with attention to detail
Understanding of homeschooling and/or military families preferred but not required
Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred but not required
Hours Required:
Work from home, any time of day. Hours vary, average 5-8 hours a week. Requires a 1 year commitment.
