Doing Good seeks a Tennessee community leader as its next Treasurer/Board Member. He/she participates in Board Meetings held every six weeks on Mondays @ 6:30pm. He/she participates in Doing Good events.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the finances and financial records of Doing Good.
- Ensures taxes are clean, correct, and submitted via the 990 (due May 15 annually).
- Gives Board financial updates at bi-monthly Board Meetings.
- Provides Board with insight and knowledge of financial plans, controls and results.
- Coordinates or teaches the Board at least one (1) basic financial training per year.
- Works closely with the Asst. Treasurer who manages and leads the daily activities of the Finance committee. (Currently the Assistant Treasurer is the committee.)
- The Finance Committee:
- Handles the daily, hands-on financial activities of Doing Good.
- Partners with other Doing Good committees.
- Use Google Drive and Trello.
- Signs checks, contracts and agreements on behalf of Doing Good as needed.
- Ensures excellent transition of Treasurer documents and responsibilities to the following Treasurer.
Qualifications:
- At least 24 years of age
- Exemplify qualities of honesty, integrity and sound moral character
- Have a sincere passion for doing good in the community
- Be a visionary committed to the young organization’s success
Board Member Requirements
- Think strategically as a board member and be hands-on with the committee
- Donate to Doing Good
- Participate in Board Meetings
- Participate in Doing Good events
- Nominate annually at least 1 Featured Volunteer
- Participate in Board votes online and offline

Doing Good is a young 501c3 non-profit passionate about volunteers. It provides Marketing and PR tools and opportunities to non-profit and government agencies.
